A couple of my friends talked me into breakfast at the Krispy Kreme down the street. This is hard to believe, I know, but I don't like donuts. Even as a kid I disliked them. These were... okay.

It took a ridiculous amount of time to obtain this dessert. First I requested pear; it was out. I requested apricot; it was out too. This was the last choice I made. It _was_ tasty.

When we stayed at the ryokan in Kyoto, meals were included - very elaborate meals. Even our Japanese hosts didn't know what most of the food was!
