Returned
I'm back. To come are a series of vignettes capturing some of the moments of the trip.
Very short version: Vermont is awesome, I loved the workshop, I met a lot of great people and ate a lot of great food, I wrote a bunch, I canoed and practiced fly-casting, I scratched a pig on the head and cuddled cats and tickled babies, I caught a cold, didn't sleep enough, and took more pictures than I want to think about.
(Sorry for no longer narrative blow-by-blow. The good news is the reason for that: I'm working on my book!)

Sounds like a great experience!
Welcome back.

Book? Oooh! Congrats!

Yayy! Welcome back! Now come and visit us so you can fly-cast with John and knit with me! (Not that I'm selfish or nothin'.)

Jill, that would be fun. (Though I still don't quite trust myself with a line with an actual hook attached. I think I'll stick to knitting and paddling the canoe.)
Amanda - thanks! Though now, as I'm staring at a pile of my notes and observations from the past year, I'm beginning to feel a bit daunted by the task before me. Oh well. I think I do well when I'm daunted, despite my reluctance.
jo(e) - it was! I just wished I had an extra day or two to drive around and see people. Maybe next year...

Excellent! I'm so glad to hear about the book, and I'm loving the vignettes from the trip.
The ready-for-deep-frying mouse made me laugh and shudder simultaneously...

Yup. I can laugh about it _now_...
