Dang. That's much better than my "oh, poor dear, why don't you pop a pill and calm down" ones. :)

Try not to worry too much about it, Rana.

It's not bad, it's just weird, I think. I've been to California once -- San Francisco, as it happens, but also over 5 years ago. I don't ever talk about it on my blog. Or about California at all. Maybe complaining about the cold weather does it?
On the other hand, in a recent email from a friend (we're discussing Harry Potter and coffee/dinner/something plans), the "related" google ads were about forgiveness, God, and obsession. (Sadly, I have lots of interesting comments about that which I can't make because (a) it would identify my company and (b) I signed papers saying I wouldn't.)

Hmm, they certainly seem to have figured out where I live - or maybe they're just obsessed with California?

Ah, the weirdness of direct-to-consumer marketing. I'm especially amused by yours, yami -- they can't seem to decide whether you're a resident (real estate & health insurance) or a tourist (hotels).
I suppose I should be grateful I didn't get linked to something like tampons or umbrellas.
Posted by:Rana | 2005.01.12 at 08:55 PM
Well, mine came up with codeine, codeine, codeine. :)

Yeah, you'd think that tampon manufacturers would be exploiting the whole adolescent-girl-livejournal thing more, but they don't seem to grok teh intarweb...

Yar, yes. Bye-bye!
(Now there's a case of really inept marketting!)
