Isn't this cool? I made it over at Hero Machine. (One thing about the generator -- it won't save the image for you. You'll need to do a screen capture to save it.)

Damn you, Rana! (in an 'I'm so easily led astray way) -- I now have two. I'll post after I take the kitty to the vet.

Oh, they are soooo addictive. I've already done one for D., one for a friend, and another one of myself (a more realistic version).
Heh.
(I look forward to seeing yours! And good luck at the vet.)

My screen save is a mess -- call me incompetent. I'll have to do it again. I've got one that looks like me (with smaller thighs and bigger boobs, but I couldn't get behind me as hulk-woman, and I think I might do one of me as how I wish I were ...

I found the easiest way to do the screen save was to paste the capture into MSWord -- it has decent cropping and re-sizing functions -- then copying again and pasting it into Paint, where I saved it as a jpg. Worked like a charm!
I wish I knew how to do this Mac-wise, but the fast connection is here at work, and while the students learn on Macs, the office staff is stuck with PCs. (Plus I'm planning to upgrade to OSX after the holidays, so I don't have a lot invested in figuring out how to make it work in 9.1.)
I was reasonably satisfied with the bodies there, though I can only achieve that degree of boobage with strategic padding. :)

From OS X Help:
Taking a picture of part of your screen
If you don't need a picture of your entire screen, you can capture just part of the screen using Grab.
Open Grab (located in Applications/Utilities).
Choose Capture > Selection.
Move the pointer to a corner of the area you want to capture.
Drag the pointer across the area and release the mouse button.
Grab captures the part you selected within a few seconds. A new window appears with the image of the selected area.
In OS 9.x, there's a keystroke combo - I believe it's Shift Apple 4 - that gives you crosshairs, whch you then click and drag to cover the area you want to clip. System help should have the answer. No longer have a Classic machine here.
(I'd need strategic UN-padding to match my superhero at all.)

*giggling*
I love it! (And yes, heroes in the anime vein would be amazing.)

It occurs to me, Rana, that you really need two avatars (god how I miss that word's original meaning) of your superhero: one to be Knitting Master of the Quiz Universe, and the other to be Scourge of the Ecocidal Kleptocrats.
Posted by: Chris Clarke | 2004.12.08 at 02:55 PM
Well, that would just be me.
(Truthfully, it's really hard to produce something that would capture the knitting/quiz axis, at least using the tools available at Hero Machine.)
